BrainStation's Full-time Programs prepare you for a new career in technology. They are intensive, collaborative and rewarding learning experiences where no two days are the same. Shifting her career from tourism to design, learn how Jacquie entered into her current role as a product designer after our Full-time UX program. When she's not designing, she's working on a podcast focused on wellness, positivity, and personal growth.

From chemist to developer, learn how Ben became a full-stack developer following our Full-time Web Development program and how this garnered his user-centric development approach.

From the performing arts to design, learn how Mathieu looked towards merging art and technology as the the driving force to becoming a product designer. This collaboration of design and culture also transpired into the creation of yomoho.ca - a queer arts focused community.

Jacquie Wortley

Jacquie Wortley

Product Designer at Inkblot

Jacquie is a Product Designer for Inkblot Therapy, a mental health and wellness startup with the goal of making therapy assessable for all Canadians. With a previous career in tourism, Jacquie transitioned to the tech industry after taking the first ever Full-Time UX program at BrainStation. Post-graduation, she went on to instruct other aspiring designers as a Teaching Assistant at BrainStation before moving on to her first UX/UI role last summer. Aside from design, Jacquie is working on a podcast which will focus on the topics of wellness, positivity, and personal growth. 

Mathieu Bellemare

Mathieu Bellemare

Product Designer at Canada Post and Business Owner at Yohomo

Mathieu Bellemare is a Product Designer and Digital Strategist with a background in entertainment. He studied in performing arts and shortly after left the country for 4 years to sing and drink on cruise lines around the world. Back in Toronto, he started to explore ways to combine art and technology, leading him ultimately to train in digital design. Now merging design and culture, Mathieu owns and runs yohomo.ca - a queer arts and culture focused community, consults for cultural organizations such as NOW magazine and Toronto Dance Theatre and also works as a Product Designer for Canada Post.

Full Stack Developer at Curv Labs

Ben enjoys building full-stack applications with the end user in mind; making sure applications are usable, useful, and accessible. Ben is a junior developer at Curv Labs building computer vision powered tools that enable the creation, interpretation, and sharing of honest signals of health and human performance.
