Prior to working at Wealthsimple, Paul led Engineering at Deep Value, an algorithmic stock execution provider that regularly trades 2% of the US stock market. Paul has build and led teams delivering financial systems for the last 15 years hiring in Toronto, New York, India (Chennai and Bangalore) and Tokyo. He has hired well over 50 technologies and interviewed many hundreds more.

Gavin Sharp currently leads the engineering team at 500px. His team is responsible for building new products and keeping 500px's platform running smoothly. Prior to 500px, Gavin was a senior engineering manager at Mozilla, based in Toronto and San Francisco, where he led a globally distributed team of developers building Firefox.

Established a strong reputation for a no-nonsense approach to quickly and transparently resolve complex customer issues.

Director of Engineering

Ash Christopher is the Senior Director of Engineering at Wave, leading platform and operations engineering on a quest to build Wave’s next generation of financial service products. He has spent his years at Wave focused on problems of scale and sees technology as the means to increase developer productivity and efficiency.

 

In past careers, Ash rebuilt G Adventures eCommerce website, and developed monitoring, communications and safety systems for oil rigs at Pason. 

 

In addition to exciting challenges at Wave, he recently entered a whole new adventure as a new father.
