Government of Alberta helps build Markets in China, India, and California

As part of the Alberta government’s priority to diversify its economy, support the growth of knowledge based industries and enhance global competitiveness, it has created a program to assist Alberta companies to enter new international markets. The program is a joint initiative between Government of Alberta’s Ministries of International & Intergovernmental Relations, Advanced Education & Technology and the Government of Canada’s department of Western Economic Diversification.

The Alberta International Business Partnering Program (AIBPP) has been developed to provide qualified Alberta based businesses in the ICT and Life Science sectors with a cost effective and efficient means to target new international markets in order to successfully export their products and services, build technology partnership opportunities and/or commercialize new technology.

The Government of Alberta will work together with Alberta companies interested in exploring business opportunities in 3 target markets: China, California and India. The program consists of 3 progressive stages: Market Exploration, Market Engagement , and Market Penetration.
