Alberta’s Digital IP is Growing

The Digital Content Creation Entrepreneurs’ Network will be showcasing work in progress of three emerging Alberta-based new media companies next month at the Hyatt Hotel in Calgary.

The Digital Content Creation Entrepreneurs Network (DC2EN) Incubation Program is unlike any other Incubation project in the province. It is a unique pilot program designed specifically to benefit Alberta digital media producers by facilitating the development of a project with a focus on intellectual property creation from the earliest stages, allowing for unparalleled access to world-class digital media/creative industry mentors, in-person incubation sessions and the time to develop the project at your home base location. The DC2EN program is focused on growing the digital media industry across Alberta and provides constant support to qualifying companies throughout the full incubation process.

For the past six months the three companies have been developing their commercialization strategy, growing their network and placing a strategic focus on the development of Alberta-born intellectual property. The program is a partnership between Digital Alberta and The Banff New Media Institute and supported by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology and Telefilm Canada.

This showcase event takes place on March 11th from 11:30am – 2:00pm and open to the public and a light lunch will be provided. Please email maggie_shirley@banffcentre.ca to be placed on the invite list.
