OpenTable, a provider of online restaurant reservations, this week released an app for Apple Watch in Canada.
“Our Apple Watch app is a natural extension of our popular iPhone app and it offers an innovative and convenient way for diners to engage with OpenTable while they’re on the go,” said Jocelyn Mangan, Senior Vice President of Product Management at OpenTable.
At a glance, the OpenTable app for Apple Watch reminds diners of their upcoming reservation, shows them how to get there and keeps them on time with an elegant countdown interface.
Diners can download OpenTable for Apple Watch from the App Store or in the Apple Watch App on iPhone.
Other apps released for Apple Watch in Canada recently include Realtor.ca and Pizza Pizza. The Realtor.ca Apple Watch app is allowing house hunters to search for nearby properties and view the property details. Canada’s largest pizza chain, Pizza Pizza, has been driving their business with a mobile-first strategy for years and their customers can now browse, order and pay for their pizzas directly on the Apple Watch.
Amazon also launched a Watch app, letting users search, add items to their wish list, and use one-click ordering to buy stuff from the wrist.
