Amihod Brothers’ customer service solution attracts funding from Year One Labs

Year One Labs has made their fourth investment, this time in Montreal brothers Dov and Mitch Amihod.

What’s the name of the company? Well… they haven’t decided yet. What will it do? Well… that hasn’t been revealed either.

What we can tell you is that it will have something to do with customer service. Here’s what Year One had to say:

For now, their company is unnamed. We can tell you that the brothers are tackling big problems in the world of customer service. It’s fair to say that very few of us regularly have great customer support experiences; there’s no shortage of opportunity that Dov and Mitch are exploring.

We met Dov and Mitch at the Google Hackathon that took place in January, 2011. We were impressed with their effort: the thinking that went behind it, the work, the ability to get something “completed” for presentation. They may be first time entrepreneurs but they’ve got lots of life experience, along with a level of maturity and intensity that says to us, “They’ve got Founder DNA.”

I don’t know what constitutes “Founder DNA,” but these brothers certainly have an impressive list of accomplishments between the two of them. Dov was a big player at Matrox, Bluestreak and Novatek International. At Bluestreak, he got the company established in Asia, and managed their global integration, support and quality assurance departments.

Mitch, on the other hand, seems to the go-to tech wiz of the two. Just look at his website here; the variety of projects is staggering. It’s certainly within the grasp of two guys like these to make something big that’ll shake up the customer service industry.
