Apple this week released its quarterly earnings report and the figures were nothing short of astounding.
The world’s most valuable technology company posted revenue of more than $37 billion, nearly $8 billion of that which was profit.
In just three months, Apple sold 33.8 million iPhones, a huge jump from 26.9 million in the year-ago qaurter. The company also sold 14 million iPads, again more than the same quarter last year. Apple sold 4.6 million Macs. That’s an average of more than 11 million iPhones sold monthly and 4.7 million iPads monthly.
“We’re pleased to report a strong finish to an amazing year with record fourth quarter revenue, including sales of almost 34 million iPhones,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
Apple expects to generate at least $55 billion in revenue durng the next quarter.
