Banff Venture Forum Reveals List of 2015 Presenting Companies

The Banff Venture Forum (BVF) has announced the lineup of presenting companies for their 2015 event, which takes place on September 24 and 25 at the Banff Springs Hotel.

The BVF provides networking opportunities and showcases high technology companies across North America.

The event also offers companies a chance to learn from professionals in the investment community.

Presenting companies are divided into three streams: Information Technology, Sustainable Technology and Startup Spotlight. Notable companies among the IT stream are Vancouver’s KeyCafe and Toronto’s Rubikloud.

The Banff Venture Forum has been around since 1999 and has grown significantly since. In 2013 the Forum hosted over 40 venture capital firms, 47 presenting companies, and 350 delegates.

The Banff Venture Forum took placed on September 25 and 26 at the Banff Springs Hotel.

Recognized as one of Canada’s premier company financing events, the BVF provides networking opportunities and showcases high technology companies across North America. The event also offers companies a chance to learn from world-class professionals in the investment community.

Presenting companies were divided into three streams: Information Technology, Sustainable Technology and First Look.

The winner of the information technology stream was Orpyx Medical Technologies based out of Calgary. The winner of the sustainable technology stream was Cool Planet from Greenwood Village in Colorado. And the winner of the first look stream was—AKA the “startup spotlight”—was GNS3 Technologies, also in Calgary.

The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is hosting the Banff Venture Forum this year on September 26 and 27, 2013.

The event features three different types of technology companies, information technology, energy technology and life science technology. Banff Venture Forum assists emerging technology companies by providing them with visibility and quality chances to present to leading private equity and venture capital investors.

Peter S. Crombie, Corporate Director and Past Chairman of RuggedCom Inc. will be the keynote speaker for the event. Crombie has over 35 years of experience in hi-tech companies in financial, investment and senior executive roles.
