Become Obsessed with Obsess TV

I was recently on NonSociety, one of my favourite chik-lit-meets-digital-world creations (I would love to be a part of the show), and I read Meghan’s blurb about Ambush TV and one of its new shows called Obsessed TV. So I had to check it out.  Ambush TV creates original digital content.  The new video show has been written up in Techcrunch and NewTeeVee, amongst others, and is the creation of Gary Vaynerchuk. The once “wine wholesaler turned Web video celebrity” is now targeting women.

The format of the show is an in-depth 30 to 40 minute interview with guests that appeal to 25 to 55-year-old women. The first interviews on the site right now are with food writer Mark Bittman and floral designer Preston Bailey. Future guests will include Today Show travel editor Peter Greenberg, TreeHugger founder Graham Hill, and BlogHer founder Liz Stone. (They are working on some bigger names as well).

Samantha Ettus, a television presenter will host the shows, while Gary comes on to talk about his thing–wine–at the end of the show.

Samantha was the host of the iVillage “iCelebrate” series for NBC and has been a television correspondent on WNBC’s and NYCTV’s New York 360°. Her on-air work includes interviews with a broad range of celebrities including Petra Nemcova, Al Roker, Colin Cowie, Marian Wright Edelman and Daniel Boulud, to name a few. Samantha previously wrote a bi-weekly column about balancing work and family for Modern Mom and was a contributing editor to 02138 Magazine.

See more of Gary at Wine Library TV or on Gary Vaynerchuk.  And make a note.  It seems dabbling in wine and women seems to be paying off online.
