Calgary’s Multiplied Media partners with

Calgary’s Multiplied Media announced today a distribution agreement with Dallas-headquatered Idearc Media LLC that will see Idearc’s directory available to users of Multiplied’s flagship product, Poynt for BlackBerry smartphones.

Under the agreement, advertiser content is delivered to users of the Poynt for BlackBerry smartphone application when the user generates a query for local business information. Revenues are generated when those queries connect users to’s performance-based advertisers.

The user count for the Poynt application has increased by over 70,000 in the past 80 days, with a current total of over 107,000 mobile users. Multiplied is currently experiencing growth of approximately 1,000 net new users per day.

“We are pleased to extend our relationship with Idearc Media to the mobile space,” said Andrew Osis, CEO, Multiplied Media. “Approximately 75 percent of our mobile user-base is performing local business searches in the U.S. This agreement, coupled with our continued growth in user numbers and associated queries, should have a positive impact on projected revenues and our continued operations.”
