Canada’s Centre for Arts and Technology Celebrates 10 Years, Announces $475,000 in Scholarships

To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, the Centre for Arts and Technology will be awarding scholarships totaling $475,000.

Students will be asked to detail where they see themselves in 10 years for their chance to earn some of the money.

“Ten years marks a milestone that companies rarely see,” says Centre for Arts and Technology President Martin Theiss. “With 10 years of graduates working in the industry, we have a proven track record for quality education that not only teaches students the skills to master their professions, but also helps them positively contribute to their industries and to society as a whole. That is what we call real education and that is what we are celebrating.”

Scholarships will be awarded to students who enroll in one of the following programs starting in July or October 2012: Animation for Game, Film, and Visual Effects, Audio Engineering, Digital Filmmaking, Event and Promotions Management, Fashion Design and Merchandising, Graphic Design and Web Development, Interior Design, Veterinary Hospital Assistant, or Network Security.

The Centre is a digital media-based post-secondary institute with three campuses across Canada in KelownaHalifax, and Fredericton.
