Canada’s Hottest Startups Have Been Revealed (And They’re Hiring!)

PROFIT Magazine has published their annual PROFIT HOT 50 list and this year’s edition includes many of the tech companies that we’ve been tracking over the past year.

Dubbed “the definitive ranking of Canada’s Top New Growth Companies,” the list ranks young firms by two-year revenue growth and will be published in the October issue of PROFIT Magazine.

Among the high-growth companies on the list are a handful of tech companies—some of which are recruiting their next round of hires on Techvibes.

Topping the tech list in third place is Montreal’s 13th on the Techvibes Startup Index and they have raised a total of $53 million in angel and venture capital funding to date.

Toronto’s ScribbleLive makes the Top 10 in sixth with 1,061% growth, according to PROFIT. ScribbleLive continue to hire and is in the market for an Account Executive.

13th on the list is Toronto’s Uberflip with 669% growth over the past 24 months. The digital publishing software startup continues to grow and in the process of hiring Marketing and Social Media Interns.

Waterloo’s Magnet Forensics placed 16th with 549% growth. The digital forensics company developing products that aid in the recovery of data left behind on hard drives and is hiring a Software Developer.

Just cracking the list in 49th place is Toronto’s Archon Systems with 134% growth. Archon’s inventory management software is the Web Application Developer.

Other notable tech companies on the list are Toronto’s Bnotions at #11 and Vancouver’s Unbounce at #12. They posted growth rates of 832% and 817% respectively.
