Most Canadians Aren’t Working Their Dream Job and Consequently Want to Kick Their Laptops

Most Canadians aren’t working at their dream job, a new survey has found.

According to Epson Canada, just 36% of Canadian professionals are currently working their dream job. However, about 40% say they’re working toward it—just not there yet.

Not working their dream job is one source of frustration and helps explain why 21% of Canadians have considered kicking their laptop or phone at some point. Another source of frustration may be coworkers: 30% of Canadians say they would “lose it” if someone frequently checked emails during a meeting, according to the survey. You’ve been warned.

And one final source of anger for Canadians? Bad hold music on the phone. If Epson can be trusted, Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” infuriates nearly one half of Canadians in that context.
