This week, Rogers launched Tech Essentials, a new web-based program to help Canadians understand and properly use today’s technology.
Included in the program is a quiz that reveals Canadians believe they’re a lot more tech savvy than they think they are. According to Rogers, 60% of Canadians give themselves a B grade or higher for overall tech savviness – but only 4% actually earned that grade on the telco’s quiz.
The quiz, which focuses on online security, data usage, roaming, found that 64% got most of the online safety questions wrong, 60% are stumped by data usage, and 47% don’t understand roaming.
The good news, Rogers notes, is that 87% of Canadians are interested in learning more.
