Vancouver technology companies are once again being challenged to design and build soap box cars that will be raced by CEOs to raise money for the Canary Foundation, an organization dedicated to funding early cancer detection and intervention.
The 2nd Annual Vancouver Canary Derby is coming up on Saturday, June 27th and will be held at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby. You’ll likely remember last year’s event as it was held on Water Street in Gastown and the finish line was at the Steamclock.
Teams will compete for a great cause and great prizes, including trophies for top fundraisers, best style and fastest racers. Funds raised through the Canary Derby will be donated to the BC Cancer Foundation to support early cancer detection research in BC.
The Canary Derby relies heavily on volunteers – so if you’re interested in getting involved, contact Julia Seto by email.
