Conference Builds on London’s Exploding Digital Media Sector

Cultivating Southwestern Ontario’s digital and development community, UnLondon and Fanshawe’s Centre for Digital and Performance Arts have announced the Explode Conference.

Explode is two days of content and experience for London’s growing interactive and digital media sector.

Organizers say the conference will bring the likes of some of the industry’s top designers, leaders and innovators to London.

“London’s digital creative cluster continues to grow and with it the opportunity for a multi-day event providing professional development, showcasing talent and opportunities, and promoting the incredible content produced by South-Western Ontario companies,” says UnLondon’s Executive Director, Titus Ferguson.

Fanshawe’s Centre for Digital and Performance Arts will be hosting the two days of speakers and breakout sessions.

“This conference is an excellent example of professional development opportunities within London, that came to fruition from countless conversations and meetings with our industry partners,” says Michelle Giroux, Supervisor, Centre for Digital and Performance Arts, Fanshawe College.

UnLondon says you can expect a stellar line up of relevant experience, tales from the trenches and valuable professional development opportunities. Keynote speakers include Una Lee a Designer and Creative Community Organizer, Liam Thurston the Creative Director at the Working Group and Creative Strategist, Artist and Inventor Kim Alpert.

Oh, and don’t forget about the upcoming Techfest in London, either.
