Credentica’s U-Prove gets acquired by Microsoft

Microsoft has acquired U-Prove, technology created by Montreal’s own Credentica. U-Prove works off the idea of user-centric security, and evidently Microsoft not only liked the technology but the people behind it, since Credentica employees Greg Thompson and Christian Paquin have now joined the Microsoft Identity and Access Group. The Seattle tech giant will integrate the technology into their Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Cardspace. Company founder Stefan Brands has also blogged about the deal.
