Cross Media Toronto conference plans launch

Following the tremendous success of their sold-out inaugural Cross Media NYC event, Jumpwire Media will be launching Cross Media Toronto. Partnering with the MaRs Centre and the Canadian Film Centre’s (CFC) Media Lab, Cross Media Toronto will feature heavyweight media industry executives discussing perspectives on how transmedia content will be produced, distributed and consumed in a cross media environment, specifically looking at ways to incorporate cross media into business models. The event will focus on providing attendees with tangibles on how to monetize cross media opportunities in the various sectors.

Founder of the event, Gavin McGarry said: “We are excited about bringing the event to Toronto. The city has a vibrant startup community and Canada is one of the world leaders in cross media content creation.” The event will take place July 21st, 2010.

Scheduled events at Cross Media Toronto include a panel of cross media personalities, three demonstrations of emerging cross media technologies, two industry-focused case studies, and a debate on a pressing cross media issue of the day, all designed to give attendees a direct and personal understanding of how cross media can be implemented successfully. The event is on on Twitter and Facebook

Techvibes will be a media sponsor for this event.
