This year, for the first time, 100% of publishers plan on formatting their content for mobile, according to an Alliance for Audited Media survey.
So we weren’t surprised to learn that Toronto-based Polar Mobile has partnered with Daily Racing Form Daily Racing Form, a multi-channel media company in the horse racing industry, to bring its content, handicapping tools and wagering platform to mobile devices.
DRF is horse racing’s top online source of news coverage, analysis and handicapping products, while DRFBets is America’s fastest growing online wagering platform. Using Polar’s MediaEverywhere platform, Daily Racing Form says it will launch optimized mobile sites for smartphones and tablets, as well as mobile apps for iOS and Android.
“Our audience is increasingly mobile, and the number of players accessing DRF.com and wagering from a mobile device has doubled in the past year,” said John Hartig, Chief Executive Officer of Daily Racing Form. “Polar Mobile’s experience in working with publishers globally really appealed to us, and the flexibility and ease of their platform will allow us to bring our news, handicapping tools and wagering platform to horse racing fans anywhere, anytime.”
Built for media companies, the Canadian startup’s HTML5 solution addresses mobile complexities, accelerates time-to-market and reduces costs, all while providing maximum flexibility, according to Polar Mobile.
“We are excited to be partnering with Daily Racing Form, who has established itself as a leader in the US sports publishing industry,” said Kunal Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Polar Mobile. “Sports publishers like Daily Racing Form understand that their audiences expect to be able to follow sporting events wherever they are, and expect world-class experiences across multiple devices, which will be supported using our MediaEverywhere platform.”
