E-waste = free ticket to Green Living Show in Toronto

This year, The Green Living Show will be giving attendees the opportunity to attend free with the help of old technology.

If you bring an old cell phone, digital camera or computer monitor or laptop, Samsung Electronics Canada will provide for you free admission.

Ron Hulse is the vice-president of B2B and Digital Convergence with Samsung Electronics Canada:

We wanted to give Torontonians an extra bit of incentive to attend this year’s Green Living Show and do it in a way that is in line with our global eco-management commitments.  Much like we design and manufacture our products with a focus on sustainability, Samsung’s commitment is to make it as easy as possible for consumers to live a greener life through the responsible recycling of old electronics.  This is all part of Samsung’s Recycling Direct commitment.  We want to ensure that we can gather as many old electronics as possible and do something useful with them, rather than having them fill up our landfills.

The Green Living show will run from April 23 – 25 at the Direct Energy Centre.  For more information, visit www.greenlivingonline.com.
