Eleven Twitter Apps worth $500K?

A couple days ago Montreal-based Twitter App Developer Felipe Coimbra put his suite of 11 Twitter applications up for sale and today ReadWriteWeb is discussing the price tag.

So, if you have any interest in one or all Twtapps, I would love to talk to you and provide you with all the stats you need. Two of our applications are the most used on Twitter for what they do: Twtpoll, for polls/surveys and Twtvite, for events.

I am currently in the SF Bay Area until September 29, so if you’re in the area and have any interested in one or all of Twtapps, I would love to meet with you. If you’re not in SF, I’d love to get on Skype to answer any questions you might have.

Coimbra estimates the value of Twtapps at $500,000 based on how much it would take to develop the apps and gain similiar traction in the market. As of ReadWriteWeb’s article, about 83,000 Twitter users have used at least one of the Twtapps to create polls, look for a job, organize an event, or create a Twitter-friendly digital business card. Coimbra notes that Twtpoll is the largest Twitter poll and survey app on the Web with 1.6 million anonymous votes.

To date, Coimbra has been too busy with development to concentrate on monetizing the apps but believes “there are still a lot of opportunities” to monetize the most popular apps.

This all begs the question – what is a Twitter App really worth?
