Toronto startup Figure 1 announced today on their blog that their photo sharing app for health professionals is now available for Android and the web.
Originally only available on iOS devices, today’s announcement means healthcare professionals can access Figure 1’s crowdsourced medical image library from a full suite of devices.
“For months, we’ve heard from countless Android users who have been waiting for an Android version of Figure 1. Today we’re excited to welcome these Android users to the Figure 1 community. Their enthusiasm motivated us to bring Figure 1 to Android, and we can’t wait to hear their feedback.”
Figure 1 also announced a new web version today. Web access lets users view Figure 1’s full collection of medical images organized by both anatomy and specialty with accompanying discussion that can be viewed and searched.
Figure 1 is an alumni of the Digital Media Zone at Ryerson University and they raised $2 million in seed funding late last year from Version One Ventures and Rho Canada Ventures.
