Last Spring California’s Fisker Automotive signed a deal with Vancouver-based Advanced Lithium Power Inc. to supply potentially thousands of 22.6-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion batteries for the Fisker Karma. At the same time, the maker of the world’s first luxury plug-in hybrid electric vehicle made a “sizable” cash investment in the Advanced Lithium Power.
Pretty significant news for a Vancouver developer of high power energy storage devices.
Hybrid electric vehicle enthusiasts started wondering when they would see the 100mpg, 125mph luxury sedan in Canada. Well, it turns out the wait is almost over.
Word on the street is that at the end of the month the MINI Yaletown dealership will be moving down Hamilton Street to the old EQ3 Furniture location and later this year they will be selling the Fisker Karma in Vancouver.
