Four Companies Added to VA Angels’ Portfolio

VA Angels has announced the addition of four new companies to their investment portfolio.

The four new additions to the VA Angels portfolio are “diverse in nature,” the angel investing group says, “which is a reflection of VA Angels’ desire to not pigeonhole themselves into a particular investing category.”

All are technology related, the group explains, but they cover the spectrum of technology industries, from enterprise, to gaming tech, to biotech, and finally to oil and gas tech.

Three are from Alberta and one is based in BC. The four new portfolio companies are:

1. SIX Safety Systems: SIX Safety Systems delivers technologies combined with a practical approach to human factors and change management to address the dynamic challenge of reducing fit for duty risk.

2. Mobile Data Technologies: An oil and gas data acquisition and controls company, Mobile Data Technologies is a company focused on bringing the most advanced and robust data acquisition and control products to the oil and gas industry.

3. Sol Aero Med: SolAeroMed is a company dedicated to the development of novel therapeutic strategies to treat obstructive lung diseases. They aim to improve the quality and longevity of patients’ lives.

4. WTFast: A network built just for MMO Gamers. The WTFast GPNTM delivers an optimal game connection, improving game speed and reducing disconnects, response deviation and lag.

VA Angels also ths week invested in Edmonton’s Innovative Trauma Care.

VA Angels was established in 2003 and has done 57 deals for a combined $28.3 million.
