Gender Equality Progress Evident at Google’s Annual Conference

It’s anecdotal, sure. But it still matters.

At Google’s annual conference, there was a line for the womens’ bathroom, say attendees—a surprise, considering years of womens’ bathrooms empty while men snake around the block (to the point it became a “thing” to photograph bathroom linesup at tech events).

It’s a rare occasion when women appear to actually be happy to have to wait in line for a bathroom, notes Fusion editor Kevin Roose, who compiled some tweets worth reading.
