GeoWeb 2010 Conference goes real time

In its 9th year, GeoWeb 2010 is the leading International conference for all areas that touch on the Geographic Web.

GeoWeb 2010 will be held July 26-30th in Vancouver and this year’s theme focuses on “Going Real Time”  – information sharing and collaboration as they relate to events in the real world.

The conference will feature keynote speeches from:

  • Stephen Piotrowicz, who serves as Program Manager for the U.S. component of the International Argo Profiling Float Program; the U.S. representative to Intergovernmental Panel for the Global Ocean Observing System; and is the U.S. Technical Expert for the U.S. delegation to the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission’s Advisory Body of Experts on the Law of the Sea.
  • Kass Green is the President of Kass Green & Associates where she consults on geospatial strategy, technology and policy issues to private, educational, and public organizations. Several years ago, Kass retired as President of Space Imaging Solutions (now GeoEye).
  • Alex Miller, founder and President of ESRI Canada Limited, a privately held Canadian owned company specializing in the design and implementation of geographic information systems.
  • Geoffrey Cameron, who leads the AGSI’s Intelligent Networks practise for all Utility and Communications based enterprises.
