Google Maps Now Lets Users Dive Underwater to Explore the Sea with Street View

Google Street View is about a lot more than just streets these days.

The popular feature of Google Maps just got even more cool with the addition of an ocean collection, which is quite literally Street View underwater. The collection includes “six of the world’s most incredible underwater spots, including coral reefs (and their inhabitants) in Australia, the Philippines and Hawaii,” the software company says.

The project is happening in partnership with the Caitlin Seaview Survey. Check out the breathtaking result of their efforts in this awesome video below or explore the deep blue sea for yourself here.

The collection is in addition to several others that land outside of the Maps’ typical Street View, including the Antarctica, the Amazon, the Swiss Alps, and NASA. Each collection features 360 degree panoramic tours in high resolution.
