Google tablet confirmed by Verizon

googleA couple of days ago we opined if Google was working on a tablet device.

And they are.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Verizon’s chief executive, Lowell McAdam, announced that the carrier was endeavouring to catch up with U.S. iPad carrier AT&T in devices that connect to wireless networks.

“What do we think the next big wave of opportunities are?” Mr. McAdam said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “We’re working on tablets together, for example. We’re looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience.”

So now we not only have Apple’s iPad but also tablet-like devices coming from Research in Motion’s BlackBerry and Google.  Who’s next?  And will you wait for Google’s product or not?  Is the future of tablet devices bright?
