Google’s 675,000 Apps Have Been Downloaded 25 Billion Times

Today Google shared some fresh numbers with the world relating to its mobile platform, Android.

The software giant says that its app store, Google Play, has 675,000 apps. This is not far behind Apple, whose App Store has “more than 700,000.”

The company also revealed that Android apps have been downloaded a total of 25 billion times. This is again close but behind Apple, who reported 30 billion downloads in June.

To celebrate the latter milestone, Google is for five days offering a collection of apps for 25 cents. Check out Google Play for more details.
