GoToMeeting Five: GROW Conference Edition

The GoToMeeting Five profiles five of the hottest and most promising tech startups across Canada each month. The list is curated by Techvibes editorial staff and reflects who’s making waves in our nation’s tech ecosystem right now.

This Month the GoToMeeting Five is coming to you from the GROW Conference in Whistler.

Communicate better. Build trust. Get more done. GoToMeeting is the extremely simple, extraordinarily powerful web conferencing service from Citrix. It integrates HD video conferencing, screen sharing and audio conferencing, creating a natural face-to-face collaboration environment on your Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone or Android device. And you can hold unlimited meetings for one low flat fee. GoToMeeting will change the way you work—and perhaps a whole lot more.

FundThrough, Toronto

Pitching as part of Under the Radar at GROW, FundThrough is the first marketplace platform that offers lines of credit to growing businesses in Canada.

FundThrough offers secured lines of credit to companies and matches those debts to accredited lenders. FundThrough raised a $2.2 million round earlier this year led by Montreal’s Real Ventures.

FunnelCake, Kitchener

Also pitching at GROW, Communitech resident FunnelCake helps B2B marketing teams understand their buyer’s journey from awareness to purchase.

To do that, they connect your sales and marketing apps, aggregate your existing data, and tell you how it all works together.

Referral SaaSquatch, Victoria

Feeling at home at Whistler mountain, Referral SaaSquatch is a referral program built just for SaaS comapnies so that they can quickly reward customers with discounts and upgrades for referring friends.

Through integrations with payment services like Stripe and Recurly, program analytics and styleable end-user interfaces, Referral SaaSquatch lets you run a seamless, branded customer referral program without reinventing the wheel.

RunGo, Vancouver

“RunGo will do for runners what in-car GPS has for drivers.” Participating in GROW’s Demo Alley, RunGo is an app with turn-by-turn voice navigation for runners.

Created by Yaletown’s Leaping Coyote, RunGo has created running routes in Whistler for GROW attendees to check out when they need a break from the conference.

Venzee, Vancouver

The biggest challenge facing online retailers is that 90% of suppliers and manufacturers still use spreadsheets to share information about their products with their retailers.

This 500 Startups company helps e-commerce companies turn their spreadsheets into real-time integration, adding products and updates from vendors in seconds.
