How can you start a transmedia enterprise of your own?

In today’s rapidly evolving media landscape, few ideas are generating as much buzz as transmedia. And, at this year’s Merging+Media Conference in Vancouver, transmedia will take center stage from April 28–29th with a transmedia lab hosted by Anita Ondine-Smith [pictured].

Ondine-Smith has been a transmedia expert since 2006. Her two companies, Touch Light Media and Seize the Media have built transmedia franchises for both corporations and non-profits, capturing audience attention nmot only in the living room, but online, in the mobile space, in video games and social media.

Ondine-Smith’s lab at Merging+Media will include a half-day seminar, two days of hands on work covering business strategies, development cycles, production and distribution. The goal is to give attendees the tools to immediately go out and build transmedia enterprises on their own, bolstered by their own unique personal experiences.

20–24 spaces are open for Ondine-Smith’s lab, and Canadian writers, film/television producers, digital media/game/mobile developers, marketing/social media specialists, broadcasters, commissioning editors and educators are all invited to apply for one of these spots.
