Increasing the Alcohol Content of Google AdWords

You may start seeing alcohol ads on your computer: Google recently allowed beer, wine and champagne companies to market directly. Starting on Monday, Google now allows advertising of hard alcohol and liqueurs in the U.S. (albeit indirectly, meaning that advertisers can promote cocktail ideas, caloric content or brand messges, rather than just directly promoting the sale of liquor).

Ads promoting alcohol won’t fall under safe status, obviously: “Since we consider beer, wine, champagne, hard alcohol, and liqueur to be products intended for sale to, and consumption by, adults, ads promoting these products will be given a Non-Family Safe status.”
