Today, Instagram added profile pages for users. No surprise that the profiles look very similar to Facebook profiles, given that Mark Zuckerberg’s social network acquired the photo sharing phenom earlier this year.
Instagram says that the feature was added as a result of user feedback. Profiles will roll out to all users over the next week, according to the company.
“Your web profile features a selection of your recently shared photographs just above your profile photo and bio, giving others a snapshot of the photos you share on Instagram,” the company explains on its blog. “In addition, you can follow users, comment and like photos and edit your profile easily and directly from the web. It’s a beautiful new way to share your Instagram photos!”
Instagram addresses what are likely to be common concerns, such as “who can see my web profile?” in the blog post. (Answer? In a nutshell, basically the same as Facebook.)
