International Web Design Festival makes Canadian stops

This September, the Webdesign International Festival (WIF) is coming to Canada to spread the word about the WIF competition with plans to visit Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Event organizers will be meeting with web design shops, universities and design schools, professional communities and media groups to develop sponsorship, planning, and participation in Canada.

The WIF is a biennial international event for professionals of web design, held by Limousin Expansion, the Economic Development Commission for the French region Limousin, and the European high technologies cluster Elopsys e-design. Entering its 4th year in April 2010, the WIF has three main activities:

  • The Webjam, a 24-Hour non-stop international competition for graphic design, which pits the best industry experts of web design in Limoges, France.
  • An international marketplace where trade and industrial partnerships in the field of new interfaces, new applications and innovation take place.
  • Cycles of conferences and workshops, training sessions, and roundtables.
