Remy Kozak of Purpose Wireless has informed us that the newly released iOS4 is not agreeing with Fido and Rogers couriers. Ping times are more than awful, averaging 4.5 seconds to reach local servers. Speeds have been as slow as less than 400kbps downloading and a paltry 64kbps uploading.
The slowness is so far unexplained – tech support for Fido and Rogers have admitted that they have little to no understanding of the matter. The problem isn’t on the courier end. Apple has not yet released any statements regarding this issue.
If anyone has more information on the matter, comment below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
