Maximizer Focused on Mobility to Compete Amongst CRM Giants

For smaller CRM software providers, the billion dollar elephant in the room is Salesforce.com.

Longtime CRM software player Maximizer Software has been competing against this particular elephant and other CRM giants for a while now – and by charging up its mobility capabilities and social platform integration, this Vancouver-based software firm believes they have developed a unique niche in a very crowded marketplace.

“We provide a powerful solution to SMB’s that require a fully featured CRM that easily adapts to their changing business requirements,” says Maximizer President Vivek Thomas. “We also know these businesses need flexible deployment options that fit their existing customer facing environments and can be accessed anytime, anywhere.”

Maximizer’s latest CRM version can be accessed on the iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, Android and any other smartphone or tablet computer. They have also added social media features including integration with LinkedIn. Users can now access a contact’s LinkedIn profile directly from the CRM contact record.

Those are some of the biggest changes to the software, though more subtle improvements have been added to core modules that address the needs of the entire SMB. across sales management, customer engagement and marketing automation.

Maximizer is also trying to differentiate from the SaaS only Salesforce business model by offering its customers other options:  “It is up to the business if they prefer SaaS CRM deployments in the cloud or to keep their data in-house with on-premise CRM deployment,” Vivek says. “Either option provides the SMB with complete access to their CRM over the web, in the cloud or through Windows and across any tablet or smartphone device.”

During the last few years Maximizer has completed the process of streamlining global operations and recently reached 18% quarter over quarter revenue growth to end their fiscal year. When the company announced the release of Maximizer CRM 12, they also noted that Gemcom Software selected Maximizer for a 200+ user global deployment.

The local CRM software firm is sticking to its core mission as it moves forward against stiff competition from established players like Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. “The SMB market deserves the same CRM functionality and mobility options available to the world’s largest organizations at an affordable cost,” Vivek says. “I think Maximizer is uniquely positioned to own this niche and thrive amongst the elephants.”
