Vancouver’s Mobidia Technology Inc. announced late last week that further to its May 7th news release, it has completed a $9.5M round of financing which involved a first $7.5M tranche that closed in May, as well as a second and final $2M tranche that closed this week as a result of the very strong interest in the offering.
“We would like to thank our shareholders for their continued support and belief in our ability to execute on our business plan to revolutionize the monitoring, control and efficiency of wireless networks worldwide,” stated Derek Spratt, President & CEO of Mobidia. “With multiple successful tier 1 wireless operator trials of our .wave platform now completed, we are focusing on developing commercial relationships with operators and OEM partners.”
Mobidia Technology develops and sells IP traffic management software for monitoring, managing, and monetizing wireless data streams to and from smartphones and laptops. Lead Investor BC Advantage Funds happily noted that the company is now well-funded and working on a number of very strategic opportunities. I guess so.
