MoMoVan tackles Virtual Goods

Next week’s MoMoVan event is all about the monetization of virtual goods and they have a lineup of presenters that are experts on the topic.

We’ve got the (virtual) goods. In the past couple of years, the virtual goods market has grown to $5.5 billion globally. The North American and European markets, which have traditionally lagged behind the Asian market, are now the fastest growing segments of the market and are estimated to be $700 million in 2009.

Vancouver is a hotbed in this space. Join us for fast pitches and a panel discussion from companies who know their stuff. Community members will share their insights from the Engage! Expo that took place last week in San Jose. Find out what is driving the rapid growth of the virtual goods market and where the virtual goods industry is heading in the future.

Headlining the presenters is Super Rewards – the Virtual Currency Monetization Platform that recently sold for an estimated $50 Million in actual money. Joining Super Rewards are Victoria’s Backstage, Utherverse’s, Work At Play, and REIXL.

The event takes place on Monday, October 5th from 5:30pm – 8:00pm at the Museum of Vancouver in Vanier Park (1100 Chestnut Street. Tickets are free to WINBC members and students, $25 otherwise. Register online.
