Montreal-based mobile entertainment software developer Penté Group has a new president, bringing in veteran entrepreneur Micahel Besner.
Besner, who co-founded middle-ware firm Kaydara whose products have been used to produce successful video game titles like Grand Theft Auto IV, Gears of War 2 and Assassin’s Creed, took over the company’s presidency yesterday.
Penté Group develops entertainment applications for mobile devices and social media platforms, two areas Besner became interested after leaving Autodesk, which had acquired Kaydara.
“I have been looking into the mobile entertainment and social media space for a while,” says Besner in a press release.
“This was the perfect choice based on the company’s unique business model, the exclusive partnerships already signed and the incredible market potential ahead of us.”
