Microsoft progresses with IE 9

Microsoft CEO Kevin Turner announced this week that their forthcoming upgrade to the dying legend that is Internet Explorer, version 9, will open beta in September.

IE 9 has been touted by the software corporation as a full-fledged upgrade, one that will bring IE 9 from the back of the bus right up into the driver’s seat. They have a long way to though.

The final version is not expected to be released until 2011.

Twitter says, “How about this guy?”

A obvious problem with Twitter has always been finding new, relevant people to follow. The social networking site has attempted to solve this with a new feature called “Suggestions for You.”

The algorithms in this feature, built by our user relevance team, suggest people you don’t currently follow that you may find interesting. The suggestions are based on several factors, including people you follow and the people they follow. You’ll see these suggestions on and the Find People section. If you like a suggestion, click “follow”; if you don’t, click “hide,” and we’ll try not to suggest that user again. (Official Twitter Blog)
