Statistics on iPhone satisfaction rates

 72 percent of iPhone 4 users are “very satisfied” with the new Apple device, according to a new report released Wednesday by market research firm ChangeWave. Seem high? It’s not bad, but consider that 82 percent were “very satisfied” with the iPhone 3GS.

What do users like best about the iPhone 4? Half like the screen resolution best, just under a third are fanatical about the 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and thirdly, users liked the touch-screen interface.

Interestingly, these are all features now boasted by the iPhone’s competitor, the Blackberry Torch. And, surprisingly, only 20 percent of those surveyed said third-party apps were their favourite feature of an iPhone, despite that being touted as the biggest difference between ‘Berries and Apples. (Battery life scored above third-party apps, and is another strongpoint of the Torch.)

Marketers going gaga for Facebook Ads

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg said in an interview with BusinessWeek published Wednesday that the company’s biggest advertisers have boosted their spending on Facebook by up to even 20-fold in just the past year.

“Two years ago the big brands were experimenting with us,” Sandberg told BusinessWeek. “They started buying with us a year ago. Now, they’re going big.”

Facebook launched a new feature last week called Questions, which lets users ask any kind of question and have it broadcast from their profiles to collect answers from their social networks. This “social search” feature shows promise as a new area for search targeting.
