Guess Which Canadian Hockey Team Has the NHL’s Most Engaged Fans

Online ticket broker TicketCity has used a variety of metrics to determined the most engaged online fan bases of National Hockey League teams. TicketCity looked at at a teams’ average home attendance and average ticket price, as well as online data such as Facebook presence, Twitter following, and average monthly Google searches.

Not surprisingly, a Canadian team ranks first, and overall, the NHL’s six Canadian teams fare better than their US counterparts. Number one is the fanbase of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The fans of the Montreal Canadians rank 6th, while the fans of the Vancouver Canucks rank 7th. Fans of the Ottawa Senators rank worst among Canadian teams at 24th.
