Nine Companies Pitch at Startup World Vancouver for $85,000 Prize

Vancouver marked Startup World’s 19th city when it landed here this week.

Nine local startups pitched three minutes each at the event, which was hosted by InstituteB.

A judging panel consisting of Saeed Amidi (CEO, Plug and Play Ventures); Tommy Lee Lewis (Technical Evangelist, Microsoft); Boris Mann (Managing Partner, Full Stack); and Neda Amidi (Investment Analyst, Plug & Play Ventures) determined who would win a prize that includes a three-month incubation period at Echo real-time streams per month for one year.

Change Heroes won the prize, which was valued at more than $80,000. Here were the other eight participants:
