Two Ontario university students got Techcrunched way back at the very end of 2008, and we made note of them right after at the turn of the new year. Their side-project, Audiolizer, got some respectable recognition, but never evolved into anything major because they were still just students.
Now, they’ve graduated and are back into the entrepreneurial world full-force.
Andy Hin recently graduated from the University of Guelph in Engineering Systems & Computing, and his partner Cody Liu recently graduated from the University of Western Ontario in Administrative and Commercial Studies. Together, they’ve gone full-time on their startup, Howl.com.
According to Cory, “Howl is a link blogging service where users can post and share links on their own personalized link blogs. We make the showing of hot content easy. All you have to do is paste the URL; we’ll automatically grab the titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and embed videos where available. You can also hookup your Facebook and Twitter to automatically share whenever you add to your link blog. Users can also subscribe to one another to get quality content updates in a news stream.”
