Ottawa gets ready for 7th Annual Telecommunications Forum

Industry professionals and regulators alike will be attending the 7th Annual Telecommunications Forum in Ottawa from November 9–10, an event that will “address the ongoing transformation of Canada’s telecommunications landscape.” The Forum is presented by Insight.

Issues such as disappearing boundaries between broadcast media and mobile, the state of mobile networks in Canada, wireless Internet, analogue to digital broadcasting, Internet TV and the role of Canadian and foreign ownership will all be on the agenda.

Representatives from companies like Mobilicity, WIND Mobile, CORUS, CanWest, Rogers and Telus will be in attendance, either as participants in panel discussions, as will representatives from government organizations like the CRTC and CBC/Radio-Canada.
