Ottawa researchers working on the future of gesture recognition

Gesture recognition is hot technology right now.

As it turns out, much of the work in that space is being done by a small research team in Ottawa.

California company GestureTek Technologies, whose tech powers Sony’s PlayStation 2 EyeToy among other devices, has a group of 25 employees in Ottawa working on new ways to control our gadgets with the wave of a hand and other gestures.
