Ottawa’s 360pi announced today that Retail TouchPoints has named Best Buy Canada a bronze award winner for excellence in mobile strategy in its annual Store Operations Superstar Awards.
The awards recognize retail companies that execute the most innovative, successful store operations strategies related to workforce management, mobile technology, loss prevention, customer engagement and inventory management.
Best Buy Canada earned high rankings for its mobile price comparison initiative powered by 360pi’s in-store price intelligence product, 360mobile.
“360mobile gives our retail associates the information they need to better address customer questions and concerns, and lets prospective customers make an informed decision while in the store, effectively turning showroomers into buyers,” said Sean Wilson, Vice President of Merchandising Operations, Best Buy Canada.
360mobile levels the playing field for Best Buy Canada associates, arming them with the same kind of competitive pricing information as every customer who walks into the store with a mobile device. Associates have instant mobile access to competitors’ prices and product availability in real time, giving them more confidence in dealing with customers and allowing them to quickly respond to any price matching requests. In return, shoppers have an enhanced, informative experience, and greater trust in store associates.
“Best Buy Canada is an excellent partner for 360pi,” said Alexander Rink, CEO, 360pi. “The company has made giant strides towards transforming showrooming behavior and improving the shopping experience. Given that our mission at 360pi is to make our customers successful, we are excited that Retail TouchPoints has recognized Best Buy Canada’s innovative mobile price intelligence strategy, and we look forward to continuing to build on that excellence.”
360pi was named to the Canadian Innovation Exchange’s CIX Top 20 list in 2012 as one of Canada’s 20 hottest innovative companies.
