Tall brick walls, giant stainless steel tanks, and the unmistakable scent of bitter hops. Yep, it’s a brewery.
It was also the venue for Techvibes’ second Tech Fest Toronto earlier this month. Hosted at Steam Whistle Brewing in the city’s downtown core, the sold-out crowd of well over 800 filled the historic roundhouse to the brim—just like a perfect pour of pale lager.
Below are our favourite moments from the memorable night.
The event was held at Steam Whistler Brewing in downtown Toronto. The historically significant building is located next to Rogers Centre and the CN Tower.
It didn’t take long for the space to completely fill up. Well over 800 people attended the sold-out event.
There were lots of fun and games to be had, including foosball.
There was also an abundance of food and treats, include mini donuts.
And of course—this was a brewery, remember—there was tons of beer.
The hiring companies all had cool booths, such as this tiki bar from Intelex.
Speakers from each company pitched the crowd of prospects on why they’re the best one to work for.
Some of this year’s Canadian Startup Awards were also handed out on stage, including Shopify for Employer of the Year.
Another wildly successful Tech Fest. Until next time!
