ParetoLogic picks up Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year IT Award

Last night Ernst & Young handed out their Entrepreneur Of The Year awards for the Pacific region and Elton Pereira of Victoria’s ParetoLogic, picked up the honors for Information Technology.

ParetoLogic creates a wide range of user-friendly computer security and utility programs, including anti-virus, registry cleaner, child protection, driver updater, file extension repairer and data recovery software. More from their About Us page:

Four software professionals, who just happened to be brothers, recognized that modern computer users don’t need to be at the mercy of expensive computer repair technicians to maintain, secure, and optimize their own PC’s. Knowing that sophisticated technology married with a truly user-friendly interface would empower people to secure and optimize their own computers, the four brothers researched the marketplace to define and develop the software products that would most benefit today’s computer user.

Five short years later, the ParetoLogic brothers employ 125 people (and counting!) to help them research, develop, and market software applications that will enable people to secure and enhance their computing experience. Available in 208 countries around the world, ParetoLogic has established partnerships on a global scale to ensure that its products are available to all computer users, regardless of location, language, or computing experience.

ParetoLogic is on a roll. Last week they came in at #17 in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada, based on the percentage of revenue growth over five years.
