Toronto’s Postmedia Network has struck a strategic agreement with Vancouver-based fintech company Agility Forex.
Under the agreement, the companies will collaborate to market AgilityForex’s offerings and Postmedia will receive a share of AgilityForex’s overall revenue as well as revenue attributable to Postmedia’s activities.
Offering international payments and currency transfers to individuals and companies, AgilityForex removes the wide spreads, fees and commissions of the big banks while providing access to transfers 24 hours a day.
“By exploring innovative new revenue models with complementary companies we are creating powerful new business accelerators,” said Andrew Macleod, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Postmedia. “Postmedia’s scale and scope – reaching nearly 12.8 million average monthly unique visitors through our digital properties and 8.3 million Canadians weekly in print across more than 200 brands – supercharges AgilityForex’s marketing efforts while both of our companies align to benefit from the success of these initiatives.”
“We’re delighted to be teaming up with Postmedia. Postmedia’s incredible national reach will allow us to get our message in front of millions of Canadians. People don’t have to be tied to their bank, when it comes to transferring money there’s an easier, cheaper, faster way” said Andrew McGuire, Co-Founder and CEO, AgilityForex. “In the midst of the ongoing digital transformation within the financial sector and the emergence of alternative solutions, delivering an excellent customer experience while offering financial savings and reducing time pressures is paramount” added Iain Thomson, Co-Founder and COO.
